This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Sacrificial Lamb

Quote from: Divine HammerBut wait: is he gay?

That depends upon what gay means. Is gay..."happy", "lame", or "homosexual"? :)

I was watching "Donnie Brasco" last night, and these two FBI agents ask Johnny Depp what "forgetaboutit" means. I can't remember the exact words he used, but basically "forgetaboutit" means different things. It usually has different meanings based upon tone of voice and the context of the conversation. But he also said, sometimes "forgetaboutit" just means "forget about it". :)

Incidentally, I haven't read the latest incarnation of Gamma World. Is it as bad as I've heard?

I've met at least one person who liked it actually.  But he wasn't at all a fan of the originals, and hadn't ever played them.

Everyone who DOES like the originals, seems to hate it with a passion.  Because, frankly, it's absolutely not the same game as Gamma Worlds 1-5.

It's Baugh's attempt at a "Serious realistic" post-apoc world, with the Gamma World license slapped on the cover.  Pundit claims even that he did this on purpose, to teach the rest of us a "lesson", but I've yet to see a source for it.

It also sold like ass, and WW had to pull it from print and sell the license back to WotC because no one was buying it.

Bruce Baugh also is not above running around the intarweb and telling people Pundit should get Anti-Depression Happy-Pills. With a straight face.

Although, if possible I'd like to be a human-looking x-Man type of mutie with a fully controllable power. Can that be arranged?

Dude, have your character stick his head in the microwave.  That's totally how Steve became Radiation Man.

Yeah... that is a bit rich.  Ritalin and Viagra would be more fitting.

I tried, but it won't turn on with the door open. Maybe I can special order a microwave the size of a closet.

You guys don't have Happy Pills?

Mine are multicolored, and very, very sweet.  Some have hearts on them.
