I'm guessing the balance card makes you automatically gender fluid.

I doubt it, but now I'm very curious to figure out what they did with it, given the disdain for Alignment altogether.

Hasbro does what they do to improve their ESG rating in the eyes of their shareholders.    ESG, for Environmental Social Governmental, is an attempt to socialize market investments.  In the real world ESG socialized improvements to capital investment are as successful as attempts to turn ice cream into a healthy food.  To improve ESG, Hasbro appears to be focusing on hiring a diverse staff over a skilled staff and inclusive concepts, not gameable challenges.  In case you have doubts in ESG "get woke go broke" tactics, one can also look at the Disney pursuit of ESG and "marvel" at their success.

It is an interesting dilemma that corporations let themselves fall into. Take a big dump on their customers, tanking revenue, or stand up to the big mega shareholders who call the shots. Once the slide to the dark side begins forever will it dominate their destiny. They climbed into bed with leftists. Now they are stuck there.

Typically I'd say that's true, but in a way, WotC has a golden opportunity with the VTT. If they just stop producing print books, and focus on the VTT being about dungeoneering adventures and whatnot, they could get out from under the Get Broke problem while having plausible deniability for why they don't need all the diversity writers and diversity monitors anymore.
