This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Was supposed to be live at Gencon but he never showed up.
Guess the organisers didn't realise it was a pre-recorded event.  Ah well.

I know  there are some hard-core Palladium fans here who might enjoy watching it:  It's almost 2 hrs. of good stuff.
It's unlisted, so you're not going to find it otherwise.  Enjoy!

The best bit so far is Step 1 Kevin complaining about a freeelancer coming up with a spider plant that just did not make a lick of sense
Step 2
Step 3 And that is how I came up with Rifts by mashing everything I thought was cool together.

Tough crowd.  Heh

Yea, it is pretty informal and more of a stream of consciousness and personal journey stuff than specifics.
I guess fans of the system might like hearing the developer's informal talk.

Never played RIFTS but it sounds like he threw everything into it, and the kitchen sink.
I would have liked to hear more about the earlier Palladium Fantasy.
I remember thinking the black cover with the dragon looked so cool as a kid.
My friends and I enjoyed playing TMNT when it came out.
Pretty sure I know why he didn't about talk the Robotech stuff at all.

Did the 'arachnopod' ever make the final cut?

I will see the video yet this bullshit by Kevin gets me to. He comes off as a hypocrite as he always blames others for issues with PB in general and its never EVER his fault!. We are talking about an rpg publisher who instead of giving us more information on Psycape in the Psycape worldbook thought that several pages on Psi-cola (think an additive version of coca-cola for psychics) was more important than more information on actual Psyscape.

So yeah tough crowd as he has a history of blaming others for his mistakes. Instead of worrying about the content of freelancer XYZ maybe he should apologize for Siege on Tolkien. One of the most aboslute cases of Adventure path railroading to date imo.

Kevin is basically the George Lucas of RPGs. He is a good source of ideas, amazing even. He sucks at dealing with the general public and needs someone to reign his bullshit in with regards to the creative process. I think he would have been much better off at somewhere else working for a company, rather than a manager of a company.

I am not saying that Kevin is a hypocrite.  I am saying that spending 10 minutes talking about how some guys spiderplant is not "realistic" and then going directly into the science of ley lines seems...inconsistant.
