It's crazy how furious they are. I posted my version of this on X about a day later than Geeky, and mine has about the same amount of views and comments. The leftists are seething that we're using Alinsky tactics on them, and forcing them to play by their own rules.

It makes me think that anybody involved with the Hadozee decisions must have been fired.  If any of them had been left, at least one person should have said, "Maybe we should go in a different direction."

Well, since we're arming their circular firing squad, did anyone else notice how light-skinned the orcs were compared to previous art? Isn't that colorism? Now that WOTC have decided that orcs aren't evil by default, they're no longer stand-ins for black people and they're not dark-skinned.

I'm willing to bet the general thought is that anything "they" do is with the correct intentions. And anything anyone else does is systemically ist.

And the picture is just of orcs. If we see a human town, there are half-orcs and elves and dwarves, etc, living there. This orc picture lacks diversity, and seems to be promoting nationalism and ethno-centralism. Every picture of humanoids should show exactly the same mix of ancestries. That's what diversity looks like. Also, how can black players get into the game if they don't see themselves represented in the artwork?

And don't get me started on how everybody in the picture is able-bodied. A nomadic, warrior people, yet WOTC get all ableist and there are no wheelchairs, no missing limbs. Not even an eye patch as a token gesture.
