Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Looks like with Comic Books there was a whisper network working behind the scenes on the TTRPG Industry.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

This kind of a "no shit" thing.  After all, the whisper network has been unearthed in several industries already.
>Blade Runner RPG
Terrible idea, overwhelming majority of ttrpg players can't pass Voight-Kampff test.

There's a difference between: Knowing and KNOWING with the evidence to back it up tho.

Obviously people in a shared industry talk and gossip.  And obviously some people are shitty cunts.  But in this scenario and others like it, you go past the usual assholes and into people who are going out of their way to torpedo others' livelihoods.  Both in gamergate and comicsgate groups of "professionals" got caught organizing specifically to wreck anyone who wasn't part of their clique when leaks came out of their correspondence, and this looks similar.  You can bet none of these groups of RPG people included Pundit as a member, for example.  And the fact that they at least tacitly endorsed falsely accusing people of crimes to smear them shows the caliber of person we're dealing with here.

The funny thing to me is that the author is openly disdainful of D&D people but shocked that the woke end of it is so nasty.  Thus I would conclude that she hasn't been involved in the community nearly enough to be commenting on it.

Its been known for a long time that people get blacklisted behind the scenes. Sometimes justifiably for being difficult to work with. Same in board gaming. You act like a primadonna with some companies and word spreads fast by the grapevine that you are not going to work out and thats the end of your designing carreer.

But now these groups are coopted to target the "undesirables" who oppose woke infestations.
