This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Sacrosanct;678607Sorry about that Silverlion.

No worries, I'm pretty sure I'm neither "angry" enough, nor "controversial" enough to be remembered most of the time.

Look at how many people posting on this thread alone are publishers and/or writers.  Seriously, theRPGsite has a stupid number of small and medium press people frequenting it. Per capita, vastly more than rpg.net

Mistwell

Lots and lots of publishers post at EnWorld.

Kuroth

Simon Washbourne posts here now and then.

Honestly, a lot of people here have written a game that they may or may not have taken the time to publish one way or another.  The great majority that haven’t written one are perfectly capable of doing so, if they so choose.  It’s therpgsite, nearly everyone here could write something on par with their favored game.  It is the best thing about the forum.

Loz

Like Pete, I mostly lurk.

But I do ensure that any product or release news is posted to the Adverts section.

There are more Q&As about our games on RPGnet than here, but the vast bulk of things raised and addressed on our own forum.

Napftor

I'll post everywhere with press releases (when we actually release something!). But otherwise I'm lurking around various boards with casual interest.

We don't go out of our way to start flamewars with them or call them Nazis. ;)

-My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, any place, any time. And anyone who disagrees with this can pick a number, get in line and kiss my ass.

-Be very very careful with any argument that calls for hurting specific people right now in order to theoretically help abstract people later.

Thanks everyone.  If anything, this thread is a good place to have all these links to indie publishers all in one place.
D&D is not an "everyone gets a ribbon" game.  If you\'re stupid, your PC will die.  If you\'re an asshole, your PC will die (probably from the other PCs).  If you\'re unlucky, your PC may die.  Point?  PC\'s die.  Get over it and roll up a new one.

Mythmere

Mainly I just read the train-wreck threads. But technically I'm a publisher, although it's the other people at Frog God who actually do the work; I just write stuff. I hang out at the older-school joints like here, DF, and K&KA, other Frogs hang out at Paizo, all of us on FB and G+. I think we're pretty thin on the ground at RPGnet, ENworld, and WotC.

Didn't see it mentioned yet, but Exalted's Holden Shearer is an rpg.net moderator.  As is Rose Bailey, head developer for Vampire: the Requiem.

The paizo forums is filled with 3rd Party guys who do D20/Pathfinder work.  There's an entire subforum for them and news updates on products.
