This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: Kuroth on October 19, 2024, 09:50:23 PMHaving Judges Guild as red is ridiculous.

BB2 the JG rights holder made genuinely racist statements & stood by them. OTOH there is nothing like that (IMO) in any actual Judges Guild published material. With a different owner JG could be Green.

Since you can't even buy JG stuff any more, it doesn't really matter.
Give me a break.  Place all the anti-Israel people in the mix, damn near every game made should be red.  edit: Judges is also mostly a zombie company of game content made 40 years ago.

Quote from: Rang on October 17, 2024, 11:34:19 PMVery sad to see Robert Schwalb on the gamers4harris list. I was just about to throw down on a bunch of Shadow of the Demon Lord materials.
It's a great game, with a ton of short (and cheap!) expansions in almost any aspect you want (setting, character options, monsters, adventures, etc.). There is nothing of today's politics within the SoDL products.

I still might grab some of them then. I just get nervous when I see someone campaigning for a politician.

Not so fast...

The follow up game to SotDL was originally titled Shadow of the Mad Wizard, until the usual suspect whined that it was offensive to those with mental illness, etc.  So he changed it to Weird Wizard, instead.  So he's already proven he'll bend the knee to the woke in his products, the only question now is how far...
IMHO there's some level of "bending the knee" that's forgivable if only because we've seen how rabidly the woke cancel pigs will attack someone. I can partially forgive not wanting to open that can of worms at all and deal with the constant allegations and calls to cancel (especially with how many "big names" are on the woke side; it's bad for business), although I'd much rather see more and more people just tell them to fuck off and stop crying.
I always assumed changing the name was also a safety move to not get in trouble with WotC. Big companies are known for suing for barely resembling names and they could argue that "Mad Wizard" is too similar to "Mad Mage".

There is a picture of a mage on a flying wheelchair along with a "Prosthetics and Wheel Chair" section in equipments. It's half a page and felt more like lip service. Maybe it was not...

Looks like they've adopted the Troll Lord Games approach--Scott Woodard's name is still on the list, but his corporate affiliation and credits have been removed.

I just got a Kickstarter update for their product. I immediately canceled the pledge and linked them to that page to show why I won't ever support their products.

"Gamers4harris" LOL

And they try to gaslight people into thinking what they're doing isn't political.

Not surprised to see many of these douchebags falling over themselves to announce how virtuous they are, but in the end it's just list of folks that are telling me not to buy their products.  Was disappointed to see Carlos Lising from casl Entertainment on this list though.  I like his stuff.  Oh well, the people whose products I like the best aren't on the list in any case.

is this still updated? The original thread doesn't look updated since 2022.

Check this thread:

This is the original thread though.  It's just weighty and cumbersome.  The guide thread seems updated I think (check the link in Ocule's top post there).

So I hope this is topic related enough to post here.
But the release of Dragon Age Veilguard in all its woke and cringy glory made me immediately think of critical role.
The first CR campaign (even though I haven't watched all of it) still felt like a pretty typical fantasy TTRPG campaign with stereotypical but familiar types of characters.

But then the newer seasons, oh man, nonbinary robot thingys lots of theys and thems.

In that regard I don't have much hope for their upcoming own TTRPG release, even though I do like the approach of distancing themselves from Dungeons and Dragons with their open license.
But for the purposses of this list I expect the full spectrum of pronoun, "typal", gender, races without identy, lines and veiles etc etc.

I wouldn't find genderless robots (or magical golems) to be unusual at all. Watching Transformers give genders to Cybertronians always seemed weird to me.

Transformers have genders in the cartoon universe (I made an in-universe explanation for it), but are explicitly no-gender in the comic universe, they just look male or female.  Until recently: when one became a trans transformer.  Nonbinary robots in this above RPG indicates that their robots actually have genders, and they are going out of their way reflecting the gender ideology of the woke.

I don't know if the thread was fully updated but the gamers4harris site is down.  I figured I'd post this here just in case the thread wasn't up to date (at least until 10/17 when I took the screenshot) and might be needed for reference.

Maybe they took it down in shame.  All of the many Kamala signs in my town were down before sunrise Wednesday, except at one house.
