This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

As far as gaming is concerned, I have no socio-political nor religious views.

Why exactly are there two different threads?

This is the original thread, and it contains the list on the first page. However, there's a limit to the number of times a post can be updated, so the list at the start of this thread is outdated and can never be changed. The pinned thread was created to allow the list to be updated and easily found. The idea is to discuss it here with all the noise, then it gets updated there, though you'll find discussion on the other thread too unfortunately.

For what it's worth, this was at the top of an e-mail newsletter I got from Exalted Funeral on Wednesday, January 8:

Last Week you helped
Santa Skully raise
$1,981
for the
Center for Reproductive Rights!

Way to go! Thanks so much for helping to support such important work to ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for the dignity, equality, health, and well-being of every person.

Edge Studio went full red. After hoping for years that FFG published the stats of the "Arkham Horror Investigators" for CoC, I found out that Edge Studio published the official AH RPG. Full of curiosity, I bought it on DriveThroughRPG and I was immediately welcomed by a shock-and-awe of wokeness...

"...While the world of Arkham Horror is full
of terrible and frightening things, we want our game to
be a safe space for everyone, regardless of race, religion,
sexual orientation, or gender identity. For many,
the 1920s was not a friendly time. Discrimination,
prejudice, and sexism were the norm, a norm we do
not wish to explore or re-create: not even for the sake
of historical accuracy."

[Lo? So YOU will not do it. The point?]

"To that end, our version of the
1920s may at times be somewhat anachronistic. We
pointedly ignore many of these issues for the sake of
creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all
players. Women and people of color in Arkham Horror
can pursue any interest or career they desire: science,
criminal investigation, academics, or the like. People
of color, LGBTQ+ characters, disabled characters, and
those from other underrepresented groups can and
should exist and thrive in this setting. Representation
in media—even among closed groups of players—is
extremely important."

And, of course...

"Arkham Horror is based on and inspired by the
works of H. P. Lovecraft, an American author
born in 1890. Many of Lovecraft's personal
views regarding race, sex, and the roles people
play in society are deeply rooted in bigotry and
ignorance, which have no place in any Arkham
Horror game."

I think that the funniest part are the suggestions about how to "create a safe space for the players when engaged in mental health matters" in a game of mind-shattering thinghies. Which is the usual approach: They don't like HPL but they like to make money from what he created. They don't like strikes to mental health, but they publish a game where the ratio of insane vs. killed is 110:1. Why don't they simply create a different game in a different setting? No clue. (*)

(*) I'll give a bit more context. One of the better supplements for CoC ever is only in French. A 500+ pages tome titled Au Coeur des Annés '20. At the very beginning the book explains that you have to make a choice: how realistic you want your "Années '20" to be. They provide info for full realism - which can then be scaled down to woke by those who prefer a different approach. You choose, not the system. It isn't hard, is it?
For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

A statement from Wonderfilled games on Facebook just yesterday...

"The boots are at the door. 'What would you do' isn't just a thought exercise. Stand, and defend those who seek basic human rights here or anywhere. Don't let Anne's death be in vain."

This is a bit vague, but to me it really sounds alot like they do not like the fact that the Trump administration is going to deport the millions of illegals we have here.  If so, they are saying I am a Nazi, and they will get no money from me.

Google Rotherham, UK.

isin't that more of an individual case and not a pattern like you'd have to prove somehow that that's because of wokeness

It's  one example that's the direct result of an ideology that led to multiple genocides across 20th century history. If your ideology leads to genocide with death tolls that Dwarf the holocaust even once, there is no "try, try again until you get it right".

Back before it was called "woke", it was called eugenics.

I didn't even know Wonderfilled Games was still in business, or if they really ever had a business lol

Ignore the trolling.  The injustice, ruined lives, and devastation wokeness has inflicted on society is obvious and easily looked up.  Remember this thread is for identifying woke companies.
