I personally thought it would be more colorful too, but then a friend found one (of many, really) that fits the colors.

Good lord. I'm so glad I jumped off the GG train a couple of years ago. I was a really invested road crew judge who owned just about every product since the launch of DCC. When they launched their Twitch channel, I was in talks with them to start a show as well, but then I found the con guidelines lurking on their website. There was no chance I was going to be involved with these folks in any professional way.

His idea of playing older editions checks out, but the general issue there is that this could not be a general-purpose solution. It doesn't scale because older products are only available used. I think you'd need to just pirate old stuff and play on a table top simulator, and I just doubt that's going to be a huge community or whatever.

Games Workshop fans are in a similar situation, with the plot being retconned to allow for things inserted for political reasons. I doubt that a fanbase will actually be stern enough to accomplish anything there.

IT's too bad that GG had to go the Woke route. I really enjoyed DCC and MCC. They have some of the best supplements by them and 3rd party contributors. But this is just cringe as fuk...raised a whole whopping $625. Wow, how BRAVE and....whatever...

Got five minutes in before I had to stop. Their narcissism was way too much to deal with.

It's been leaking out that there's been bribes to push WEF style ESG/DEI as much as possible. Vangard and Blackrock have been publicly stating for years that they are suing their investment power to push their social agenda. For Battletech, I suggest you add Grummz autopsy of how the woke took over battletech community. One community manager did Catalyst's Games will to be the fall thing to make battletech extremist left wing. Very, very good work and read. It will make you vomit. Sarna.net appears to be the last main site for battletech they have no control over.

Well this explains a lot...I backed the past couple Battletech Kickstarters, but they seemed to be mismanaged for the most part. BT is one of the few games I still actually play, but it looks like Catalyst is more interested in placating some dude who totes a gun everywhere because someone might harass his boyfriend at a convention than actually delivering a good product to people who have been invested in the IP for over 30 years. What the actual fuck...
