This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

probably nobody cares about this news but I still share it. I wanted to share it somewhere and I think this is the best place.

this is what the post say if you dont want to go to reddit

QuoteDue to recent events over on X/Twitter, the moderation team of r/dndnext and r/onednd has decided to ban links to that site. From now on, the Automoderator will remove such links.

However, since WoTC uses X/Twitter for official announcements, there's an exception to this new rule: You can still share screenshots of their tweets. Since our subreddits don't have image posts activated, please upload such screenshots to an image hosting site like imgur.com and link them in your post.

and this is some comments

QuoteGood riddance.

so in my opinion I dont like this. I think this is censorship and that is wrong.

Not really no. Some small little subforums on the internet don't allow posting of some thing there. This forum doesn't allow you to post porn. That's not censorship. You can go read Xwitter like an adolescent girl anytime you want. If you don't like those reddits, you can go post on another of the thousands of reddits. Just, y'know, man up.

Lol.   So it's banned now that people on BOTH sides of the political spectrum are able to mostly speak freely but were ok with it when it was an echo chamber for the far left?   I suppose reposting content from the kiddy diddlers and wannabe revolutionaries on bluesky is still ok though, right?   Nothing of value was lost for me as I've never even been to either reddit (nor do I use the site in general except on rare occasion since the political repression there in 2020/2021).   The subreddits even have the outdated names for what they're supposedly covering.

Well I thought it was interesting.  People there are saying that they should also ban Facebook, Instagram, Meta, etc.  Like almost any cult they have to shield their members from badthink, and they spiral into a smaller and smaller echo chamber.  What will they do if leadership at Reddit is seen meeting with the Trump administration?  Delete their own Reddit?

Nahh, it was okay when social media was controlled by Marxists, NOW it's not okay. See how this works?

No, it's not censorship; that is impossible unless it's government sponsored. But those clowns don't see it that way. If you run a private business and don't want Marxist protestors hanging around your office, that is "censorship" to them because they have a moral right to do it. However, if you post stuff on Twitter they disagree with, it's not censorship because you're obviously evil.
