Benoist (who most everyone remembers as a very active poster around these parts up until a year or two ago) has gone pro and teamed up with Ernie Gygax (Gary's older son) and they have a Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1709227718/ernest-gary-gygax-jrs-marmoreal-tomb-campaign-star) up for a module and mini-setting sandbox the vastly expands upon the Marmoreal Tomb of Garm Patu'ul adventure from Gygax Magazine #3.
I'm good friends with Benoist and I was a playtester for the module, so I can vouch for the quality of his work (but then he and I do see eye-to-eye on a lot with regards to RPGs), and I was still very favorably surprised with the production values they're investing their work with.
Anyone who wants to check out their work, they have a free adventure (Stone Aligments of Kor Nak (https://www.gp-adventures.com/shop/the-stone-alignments-of-kor-nak-pdf-digital-format/)) up for download over at their website.
Awesome! I miss Benoist's posts here. I did pick up GGM#3 just for the Marmoreal Tomb, so this is great:)
His maps are incredible.
I'm half tempted to get the ArchDuke award, and then hire an army of soldiers to explore the dungeon for me.

Ah ah! Do that! Please do! (The Hearth of Chaos might prove to be challenging!)
Thank you for sharing the news, Gustavo! I might have had my disagreements with the RPG Pundit, but I still think this here is one of the best forums around to talk about RPGs openly and freely.
This is a special project folks. This is it. The first step to a fully published Gygaxian castle and campaign.

Kicked this am, Ben.

Thanks LordVreeg! :D
Best of luck, sir.
For a lot of people who object about the way the game has gone to trash over the years it comes down to this: we are 3/4 funded after the first few hours, and I'm honestly, honest-to-God overwhelmed and humbled by all the support we've received so far.
Now, the full conversions for both 5th ed and Pathfinder are among the first stretch goals.
If you don't like the Forge, if you want open worlds and non-narrative game design right out of the gate, how bad do you want it? How much would you readily give to get one of the best shots you have into the spotlight, with the Gygax name attached to something that is both truly original, faithful to the roots of the game, AND amenable to your own playstyle, whatever that is, and make it something to be reckoned with on the gaming scene?
This is such an opportunity. You know me. You know my advice to build the megadungeon. The posts are still here on the website. Ask yourself this question. Is my participation here just about the moaning and bitching about RPGnet, or is it about supporting the actual things I might love?
Do something positive. Support this endeavor. It will pay off. You have my word.
I gotta wait till Saturday... I'm in rehearsals. Work, rehearsal, bed. Damn.
Well I've never backed a kickstarter before, now seems like I good time to start.

Honest question, if you want this to be positive, why come to a thread where people is already hyping the KS and being super positive... and then, as the first person in the thread, start talking about Forge, rpgnet, and "the game gone to trash"?
I mean, people where positive and the campaign looks great! Why go all rpgsite-autoreaction? Did anyone hint, here or elsewhere, that you were part of this campaign to bitch and moan!?!
Other than that, good luck with the campaign, as I said, it looks great.
I was referring to those people who want something different, and something that the current game doesn't offer to them, from their own perspectives, not mine. I don't think that ignoring these people or shushing them makes them go away, but you know what? You're right, DK. Let's just say that coming back here brings all these things back to mind.
In any case, the response to our KS has been amazing so far.
What a first few hours! A prototype of the Prismatic Maze was used in my Ptolus game on the Site. Here's the relevant part (http://www.therpgsite.com/showthread.php?t=18798), for those who want to see it in action.
Looks like the final portions of this Kickstarter have finally been delivered for editing, layout, and printing. Looks like the core book and two primary expansions and maps have already been edited, laid out and printed and are preparing for distribution, players guide in layout, and the more advanced add-on Prismatic maze in editing and layout.
Conversions to other systems unclear. With 5.5e coming, I would imagine there will be a community effort to convert it to that version rather than the current 5e? No idea.
Holy moly, that kickstarter is old. No wonder I didn't recognize most of the posters in the thread.
Soooo.....how's that working out for Troll Lord?
I just received delivery on this Kickstarter. And I must say my impression is I am pretty darn happy with it. There is a WHOLE LOT of content here. Well more than I expected. It feels like a campaign would take many years to use all of this. A whole lot of very pretty full color fold out maps, some nicely laminate. Like, a real large stack of separate maps.

Given it took 8+ years to fulfill, I'm glad to hear it!
