This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Are you guys doing anything to commemorate?

Thank you for the reminder.  I'll bump the Original D&D session to that day, that's for sure.  Yesterday, I finally chose to buy the Lejendary Adventure Essentials boxed set, without realizing his birthday was right around the corner.  So, there is that too.

thedungeondelver

Dang; our usual Friday game would've fallen on that date but it got bumped to Saturday.

I was hoping my re-prints would be in the mail so I could celebrate by knowing the memorial statue is a few dollars closer to getting done.  I might instead take the occasion to cancel with Amazon and place an order with Cool Stuff Inc (on Dungeon Delver's recommendation!).

I'm going to roll a d20 and consult a table to see what I'm going to do about it.

I am celebrating by purchasing the reprint books, and planning a 1E campiagn.

Man I miss 1E after so many years of 3E and 4E.

Hoping to play abit of Heroquest or something(freeform D&D maybe) later with my bro and a couple of friends, this is all dependant on if they actually show up of course as its friday night and they may decide to go see batman or something instead.

I'm working my ass off! Posting here when I catch a break will be the only gaming related activity today. Sad but true. :(

I'm going to relive the heyday of AD&D by having my mom use a sharpy to black out all the nipples in my 1e books.
