Sorry, not to hip about systems. Is Unisystem unplayable ? Because, I'm just glad there is still some interest in Jorune, so I wasn't really paying much attention to the system :)

No, it's not unplayable. It's just one of the dead horses people here like to beat. Some likes it, some don't, often because the first group pimps the game all the time.
 
My impression is that it's an alright system.

Very well summed up.  I'm a Unisystem player and occasional fan, but fell into the second group for a long time for exactly the reasons described.  A lot of the humor or sarcasm relating to that remains.
