Dont know if this is the right section to point this out. And the incident seems mostly limited to board games. But on the off chance this fellow broadens his targets to RPGs, if he hasnt allready. It seems like a good idea to let folk know in case he contacts them. Or if he allready has.

Ive never heard of anything like this before.
Though I think tricked or scammed is a more apt description than stolen. A really weird tale and it makes people with real thefts and replacement look bad in the process. I should know. I've spent nearly ten years now trying to replace a large chunk of my board and RPG collection that was stolen. One of the players I DM for had some of his stolen too before I moved out here.
