This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Is your FLGS discounting 3e stuff yet?

I get the impression many aren't.  Hell, I get the impression many won't, but then many FLGS really struggle with the business part of running a business.

Nicephorus

I haven't looked recently.  As of a month or two ago, it was only the early 3.0 stuff that was in the bargain bin.   However it appears that a fair number of publishers (including WOTC) have been dumping old stock.  I've been seeing multiple mint copies of many books at Half-Price books which implies that the item had been remaindered and sold off at a huge discount.

Anyone have any links to discounts I could distribute to those who would want to buy me a b-day gift? I'd love to get my mitts on a lot of 3.5 stuff just to fill out the collection for later use and perusal.

Phantom of the Attic in Pittsburgh has been discounting 3.x stuff for several weeks.

The local bookstore (Hastings) is discounting/clearance'ing all Angel/Buffy books (of which they have dozens and dozens), all LotR RPG books, and most of their d20 stuff. (to include the nastiness like WoW, the EQ rpg, and even decent Swords & Sorcery stuff...)

the Paizo GameMastery stuff is all still full price, as are all the D&D Miniatures and dungeon tiles.

The local FLGS is relatively new, but don't have any discounts...yet.  I'm sure they'll be up-selling the shit out of minis on June 6th when they do the release/demo.  (it's like Pepsi at a Taco Bell. :D )

One of them is discounting them, and I do mean all of them, if at a miserly 10% discount. For now. Three months from now I expect to buy them for five bucks per pound.

The three I know about locally aren't. I was in Atactix in Aurora a few weeks back and I don't think they were. The two that are nearer my house are so clueless that it hurts me sometimes. I wonder if the guys at Hobbytown (local chain sells rpgs and model train stuff ect...) even know 4e is coming.
