This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

From the CotI forums:

QuoteI've worked out the details with Marc and we will be unveiling an Official Traveller Wiki here very soon. It's already up and running, fully integrated with the forums, but we still need to get some basic information posted on it as well as get at least a minor start on adding material. So if you are a reasonably experienced wikian and are interested in helping get this off the ground, please send me an email to grip (the @ sign) RPGRealms.com and I'll tell you how to get to it.

Also as a really cool new feature I'm working with Marc and we will be setting up two entire sectors outside of Imperial space that will be dedicated to development by the Traveller wiki community. We will provide the very basics of the region (ie: stellar and planetary data) as well as rules and guidelines for development (ie: anything developed must adhere to canon). More on this to come.

Sucks perhaps for the unofficial Traveller wiki, though.

That IS good news, and yet it DOES suck for that other wiki. I'm not a fan of wikis at all, but that one is really good. Hopefully they can be merged in some fashion.

The sector sandbox idea is pretty spectacular.
