Back on topic, I guess if god is going to treat people lwho do rpgs the same way he treats someone like hitler, then we're all hosed anyway. I mean, sure, the guys in hell might seem to have thr worst deal at first, but can you imagine living around someone like, who was all powerful, forever?

I guess everyone in heaven would have to have the same exact opinions and views as their god did on every single issue, or else. How fast would that get boring? It would, basically, be like an endless version of some bad forums where the slightest disagreement with the mods got you instabanned.

True enough. Apropos of the original post, I'd also point out the American fundamentalism is different than Christianity in general.

Personally, I grew up in a free-thinking Presbyterian church where we did things like organized a church group to go see "The Last Temptation of Christ" and discuss it afterwards. I think the opposition of Christianity and role-playing is a fairly local issue to the U.S. Bible belt. In contrast, the Church of Sweden has published three role-playing games for use with it's youth groups, for example.

It is not appointed to man to pass judgement on the ultimate destination of another man's soul.

To do so is itself the sin of pride and nothing more.

Further, while I can't presume to speak for the Almighty, I must say I've always been of the opinion that the Lord is probably a lot more concerned about things that actually bring harm to one's fellow man.

I also find it interesting that so much of American Fundamentalism focuses on the exact opposite.
