Title: InSpectres the movie?
Post by: Soylent Green on September 06, 2012, 06:07:48 PM
Any one heard about this one?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1705111/

I get it the D&D would have 3 movies.

I was somewhat surprised that Mutant Chronicles got made into a movie (awesome movie, or at least I like it).

And of course there always rumours about Deadlands or Rifts movies.

But InSpecters? Some of the cast even seem to have acting credits!

It looks terrible. Despite me liking Inspectres the game somewhat.

Wow, that's crazy, but cool.

I'll be surprised if Columbia Pictures doesn't sue, though. I mean, it's pretty obvious that the premise of InSpectres is Ghostbusters with the serial numbers filed off.

They'd have some difficulty making that stick, I expect, since ghost hunting shows are all over the telly right now and they haven't moved on them.

As others have pointed out, there's a glut of ghost hunter types these days. Besides, the storyline synopsis claims they face a werewolf and german gremlins. Doesn't sound that much like the Ghostbuster movies to me.

Been hearing about this around the LA cons for years, but I never knew they went into actual production. I had hoped they would sell the IP to a major studio since the concept is definitely fun.
