Let me tell you how the Stay@Home orders are working in central Florida. You are not supposed to leave your home unless traveling to an essential business. However, that allows a lot of travel. If you are traveling to a grocery store (which includes anywhere that sells groceries, even if you're going to Walmart to buy a TV), a restaurant (including fast food), a pharmacy, or a medical appointment you are OK to get out of the house. Likewise, if you work in any of these places, you can get to work. Needless to say, many people are leaving their houses multiple times every day and the order is pretty much unenforceable (and law enforcement isn't even trying).

So, could I continue to meet my weekly FtF gaming group? Probably, but I'm not. Both my wife and I are in healthcare and we have a high risk of exposure. We don't want to contribute to spreading it to our players and their families. I've cancelled the last two sessions, and the current Stay@Home order expires late on April 9, an hour after my fourth missed session. I could give online gaming a try, but I haven't. Part of this is because I don't have familiarity with them, and another part is because I'm quite busy right now with work even when not at the work site (yep...it's a salaried position).

EDIT: I have taken some time to read over some RPG materials that have backed-up over the last year or two. I've tried not to buy new stuff out of impulse right now, and I've just been notified that a kickstarter is coming in later this week, so that makes it a bit easier.

luckily, Uruguay doesn't have a 'stay at home' order, because it's a country founded on liberty from tyrannical government...

In that case I hope Uruguayans are smart enough to wear masks and self-isolate themselves without government order.

In general, there's been a pretty good level of appropriate caution from the population.  Most people aren't mulling about places needlessly. The restaurant trade has largely moved to delivery, with a few exceptions. Some people are wearing masks, especially those working in jobs where they still have to interact with a lot of people. All large-scale events (concerts, football games, etc) have been cancelled. Thus far, the expansion of the virus  has been incremental, not exponential, every day there's been between 12-20 or so new cases, excepting yesterday where there were 32, but 22 of those were in a single mental health facility, where clearly things weren't handled well.

The just-out-of-power socialist party demanded to the brand-new (as of Mid-march!) conservative government that a wealth tax should be put in place to help finance the additional spending required in the crisis; the government responded by putting a tax on all public employees and public union officials earning more than $2000USD a month!
