This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

They are pulling out all the stops.
I picked the book up yesterday. A lot of the art is indeed terrible, but some of it is pretty good (like the berserker barbarian). However, if you ignore the art and focus on the mechanics--mainly the classes and backgrounds since I'm not crazy with the changes to race/species--then it does have some positive changes.

Don't forget some awesome clam chowder, quick service Hawaiian pork & cabbage, tons of Korean BBQ, and more.

The 4 food groups of Seattle are in descending order of density: Teriyaki, Vietnamese (Pho/Banh Mi centric), Thai, & Korean.

The best Korean in the US outside of LA is clustered in South Tacoma/Lakewood.

I'm quite aware. During the years I spent at JBLM, I tried a lot the Asian foods in the area. Not all were good, but some were fantastic.

When I was in Seattle it seemed like it was Thai everywhere, but that was some time ago.

Wait until he finds out that older millennials are confused with boomers.

Shit, I'm Gen X and I was called a boomer. I practically lost my shit. Me? A boomer? Fuck no! Baby boomers are the post-WWII kids born '46 to '64. MY DAD is a boomer, not me.

Boomer was also used to describe some 90s kids. Seems like the term, like every term, gets misused alot. Back in the 00s I thought it was a term for 90s kids and did not know it was an older term till looked it up.

I'm kind of an oddball. I am gen X but my parents were part of the greatest generation ( both born in the 1920's). I had a half brother who was a boomer.

Crazy, that. Just like on these forums where anyone left of (*insert goal post here) is a Marxist! Seriously though, it drives me crazy that Gen X is basically obscured as even existing for most Millenials & Gen Z & A.

IMO, the biggest problem with the Heroes' Feast depicted is that there's nothing there but the most banal and basic idea of 'food.' No historic verisimilitude; no cultural, mythic or legendary associations; no fantasy, beauty and wonder; not even exoticism ... it's just so bland.

I don't mind it, I prefer not to interact with Millenials

Is that the real picture? I see three light-skinned people looking very happy while they eat the food, while an unhappy dark-skinned server brings them more.

I don't particularly care what cuisine they put in an image but the thing that takes me out of the feast in question is it looks like a spread from a US mall food court.

The little umbrella in the drink is a nice touch.
The notion of an exclusionary and hostile RPG community is a fever dream of zealots who view all social dynamics through a narrow keyhole of structural oppression.
