This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Picture a campaign you'd like to play or run

Set norms of table etiquette early on.
Encourage attentive participation and speed of play so the game will stay vibrant!
Allow that the group, milieu and system will from an organic symbiosis.
Most importantly, have fun exploring the possibilities!

For every idiot who denounces Ayn Rand as "intellectualism" there is an excellent DM who creates a "Bioshock" adventure.

I'm willing to allow this kind of thread (unless our tech mod says its just too hard on our bandwith) but I will ask the following rules:
1. No threadcrapping with images that are not an accurate reflection of the request in the OP.

2. A limit from here on in of ONE picture per poster. This is not to just be a neverending "cool images" thread, please.  Post a single picture of something that reflects a campaign you'd want to play or run.

3. Obviously, pornography or any kind of illegal image is not allowed.

Is there a way to re-size the images so that they don't distort the width of the viewing window?

Thats happened with this page of the thread.

In other words: Isn't there a width limit or range on images that will keep the page width the same?

vBulletin code usually allows for image size parameters in the tags, but I'm not sure it's enabled here.
"In a way, the Lands of Dream are far more brutal than the worlds of most mainstream games. All of the games set there have a bittersweetness that I find much harder to take than the ridiculous adolescent posturing of so-called \'grittily realistic\' games. So maybe one reason I like them as a setting is because they are far more like the real world: colourful, crazy, full of strange creatures and people, eternal and yet changing, deeply beautiful and sometimes profoundly bitter."

I'll be damned... when I was 14 I dreamed this exact scene and started writing a story about it... it basically started my writing career. It must be something really rooted in the collective unconscious.
