This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

If you could hand out a copy of a free RPG to everyone...

Blue Devil

Quote from: pathfinderapOur fugitive's been on the run
for 90 minutes. Average foot
speed over uneven ground --
eight miles an hour giving us a
radius of 12. We'll do a
hard-target search of any
residence, gas station,
farmhouse, henhouse, doghouse,
and outhouse in that area.
Check points go up at 15 miles,
but stay alive to reports of
stolen vehicles or abductions

Watch The Fugitive much?  :)

I watch many films, you could say I'm a movie buff,
Thought everyone knew that famous quote, what do you think, too obscure?

You know what would be funny - if you could buy a large section of FATAL books on the cheap then hand them out to fundies.  I'd do it just to see their heads explode.

Handing out copies of DitV to Mormons could be interesting, too.

In the end, though, I'd rather hand out copies of Vampire.  That way maybe I could hook up with some hot goth chicks.

What?  :D
Now Prepping: One-shot adventures for Coriolis, RuneQuest (classic), Numenera, 7th Sea 2nd edition, and Adventures in Middle-Earth.

Recently Ended: Palladium Fantasy - Warlords of the Wastelands: A fantasy campaign beginning in the Baalgor Wastelands, where characters emerge from the oppressive kingdom of the giants. Read about it here.

Thats bad,
and would also set back the public view of RPG's to the days of Tom Hanks mazes and monsters,  in but seconds

Well that movie came out what 13, 14 years ago?  So I am sure it is fading from people's memory.

But a good quote none the less

that makes no sense
1) they show it all the time on TV, not to mention dvds etc
2) people don't have any trouble in quoting early Star Wars etc for example, even though they were released at the cinema before they were born

You are right.   Where I am they don't show it all the time but you are right, they do show it.  If it was in the movie theater and then not shown again I guess my point would be correct.

I stand corrected

First off did Fatal ever get published in book form?

Second, if you go to their site:  http://www.fatalgames.com/  it is quite dead so I think it's quite safe to say that they failed at whatever they were trying to do

Meh, for fundies to dislike FATAL they actually would have to read it. As most of them don't even check the only book they're supposed to read...

Don't we have any good RPGs with cheese-/beefcake covers? Those should 'splode some heads...

Macho Women with Guns is ok as long as you go with the original and not the crappy Mongoose version.

You could also go with an Exalted crotch shot cover.

LoL they wouldn't have to read it, if they flipped through it and meet some of those words, I'm sure that would make them stop and look, and a paragraph is all that it takes
