At this point, it's way past due?
I mean they're doing everything they want to do, meeting all their diversity goals, and accomplishing all their politics. Why would upper management shake anything up?

Flagging profit margins?
The house of cards IS crumbling down, just look at big tech, hollyweird, etc firing thousands (especially the D.I.E. cultists).
Disney is bleeding billions every quarter thanks to D+.
I expect that the first corporation that manages to:
Fire the wokists
Produce something the people want
Make a killing from that
Will be the starting shot and the rest will rush to try and come back to the center or the right.
I don't expect this for another 5 years tho.
In Hasbro's case it all depends on how deep are their pockets REALLY and how much longer can the ESG cultists inject them with free cash.
If the 1st quarter of this year report has also loses then they MIGHT attempt to do something.
Everybody's favourite corporate ghoul (Brink) was in a podcast saying "We want to bring older editions under the CC By".
Which is good PR, will make a lot of people to slow down or to go running back to them IF they do it.
In case they do go ahead and do it I expect a deep scrubbing of the SRDs before being thrown under the CC By license, else the 5.1 srd is useless since you have lots more on the 3.5 one.

Meh. Money doesn't matter when you are virtue signalling and pandering to whatever the victim class du jour is. At least, that's what I've learned from Disney. I'm expecting to see WotC and Hasbro double and triple down on "white people suck (except us)".
Wow, if the earlier editions go under CC that would be great...

Yeah. Their diversity goal was 100% white male management for D&D, with a token statement that it's going to change eventually. Mission accomplished.
The current head of the D&D division is Dan Rawson, who was just appointed in October 2022. So he'll be under heat, but I suspect most of what was done recently was set up before his tenure. He's a digital guy, and I suspect they're still committed to their digital plans - though they may change the details, the overall move to online rules and play will still be attempted.

What most places do when forced to do diversity crap is, they just create new customer-facing roles and hire whomever. D&D will have a harder time doing this, because their customer-facing designers and developers are minor celebrities and cannot be faked the way you can create a bullshit position in an office environment.
The clear goal with stuff like
Radiant Citadel is to take the non-white contributors and shove them up the ladder as fast as they possibly can. That way you can have enough non-whites to check your boxes, and have them actually have names and faces, with backing by their actual talent. A conglomerate of an individual that everyone pretends is as real as Gary Gygax was.
You're correct that they don't have this today, but I think they are right on schedule. Just take someone from the
Radiant Citadel or similar "no dogs or whites" style projects, pin a high corporate position on them, and then celebrate that you've finally increased the number of non-whites, using neologisms like 'bipoc'. If that's the plan, it seems to be proceeding smoothly.
Why would they have a management shakeup yet? They got away with attempted murder easily. Profit margins are actually normal (so very high for the industry).

Radiant Citadel
The title of that book is so telling.
Citadel:
a fortress; on a hill, difficult to assault; safeRadiant:
emitting light or glowing; light represents knowledge and goodness or virtue; a signal. We, who are unassailable in our safe space, radiate our knowledge, goodness, and virtue onto you and everyone. Written and published by DIE virtue signalers, it fits so well.
They are hiring and starting a new group in Texas. I'm not really sure what that means.
Austin is pretty lefty but certainly not as bad as Seattle.

Still out of the loop thought I read a blurb about D&D is now creative commons? Yeah if that's true I'd imagine someone is getting fired.
I believe 5e is CC. Since they're going into 6e.

Only the 5.1 SRD is CC By, a very "magnanimous" move that puts under CC By stuff they can't copyright, patent or tradermark like the rules and mechanics. There's precious little fluff (the actual IP) there to begin with.
So they "magnanimously" put under CC a bunch of stuff they can't stop anyone from using anyway and a little crumbs of IP. People are lapping it up as if it were Mana from heaven.

People got excited, because the name "Beholder" is now Creative Commons, without any Stats or Lore to speak of. So if a creator chooses to use the 5E Creative Commons, they can now have a Beholder in their game or adventure. They no longer have to call it an Eye Beast, etc. What WOTC shared via Creative Commons, still requires a little creative content, on the part of creators; but now you can legally use "Beholders".
