This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: jgants;291632I don't know, 15 hours in 3 months sounds only slightly less than normal to me.

My campaign runs every other Friday for 3 hours.  So that'd only be 18 hours for 3 months.

That seems about right to me.  I wouldn't mind a second game once in a while (unfortunately, no one is ever free except every other saturday), but I don't think I'd necessarily have the time/energy for a game every week.  And 3-4 hours is about right for a regular session I think.

I play for 8 hours every saturday, and 4 hours every sunday. That's 12 hours a week. I WAS playing for another 4 hours midweek, but that game is gone.

Yep - He's 22, but I have been doing this for 31+ years. My wife has been playing for for 26 years. When Klax was little, we took care of him together during game time and out.

I don't even have kids and I don't have that kind of time.  Between cleaning the house, doing yard work, running errands, buying grocies, etc - that pretty much takes up my whole weekend.
Now Prepping: One-shot adventures for Coriolis, RuneQuest (classic), Numenera, 7th Sea 2nd edition, and Adventures in Middle-Earth.

Recently Ended: Palladium Fantasy - Warlords of the Wastelands: A fantasy campaign beginning in the Baalgor Wastelands, where characters emerge from the oppressive kingdom of the giants. Read about it here.

I'm pretty busy working, wrangling kids, doing the house/yard/groceries thing, and often just pursuing other hobbies.  I'm hoping we'll settle into a regular schedule of game night being once every 2 weeks, but at the moment we're still adjusting to everyone's schedules and it'll be 4 weeks between game nights.

There's no way I could do an 8 hour session.  I'd get too fidgety. :D
