This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

How Many WotC Official Products Do You Buy?

I enjoyed 4e, but most of the books were meh or crap. The Dark Sun books and 4e Gamma World were rare gems during that era, but 100gp gems, not irreplaceable diamonds.

5e is the first time in 44 years I don't own the core books of a D&D edition and I highly doubt that trend will change.

Fuck WotC. There's a 1000 other fantasy RPGs and many of them are excellent so there's no reason to buy their warmed over SJW shit.

5e is what I have players for and it works pretty well. Last campaign I got to run OSR-inflected (dungeoncrawling through Dwimmermount), this one is Candlekeep shared with co-DMs but I'm able to improve things a bit & steer us away from some of the worse adventures in the WotC book.

Theros is great for reading & inspires ideas, but I'm hoping our next campaign is a third-party hexcrawl, if not completely homebrew: The High Moors, Symbaroum, or Runewild.

My oldest son DMs multiple 5e games, so some of what I buy is to support him; he wanted the dragon book for Christmas/his birthday, which I wouldn't have been interested in myself. Things I don't intend to get are most of the recent adventure volumes: Avernus, Strixhaven, Witchlight, Radiant Citadel, in part because of how underwhelming Candlekeep is as a mixed-author poorly-edited anthology.

The last paper products I bought were the 3E PBH, DMG, and MM.

The only DTRPG purchases I have made are the 1E PHB, DMG, and MM, Oriental Adventures, and Greyhawk Ruins. All were purchased at a discount.

I own the following books.  1.  D&D players handbook 3.5.  D&D Monster Manual for 3.5.   Forgotten Realms for 3.5.

None have ever been used for play.

Now, if you want me to list my entire Palladium Books collection, we're going to need some patience.  I'm sure it's over 100 books at this point.

100 pffah you are like leetle baby,

No argument, but I have nearly everything for RoboTech, Rifts, Heroes Unlimited, and Palladium Fantasy, as well as a few lesser games like Recon and Night Spawn/Bane.

These days I've moved onto rules lite games that many people have never heard of like Pocket Fantasy and Dungeons and Delvers: Dice Pool Edition.
I'm glad for you if you like the top selling game of the genre.  Me, I like the road less travelled, and will be the player asking we try a game you've never heard of.

I have the TMNT stuff. most of the robotech stuff (expeditionary marines is hard to get)

I have 2nd ed of revised recon because my old one fell apart or so I am told.

Didn't get the Nightspawn version of Nightbane.

I do have the Rifts movie script and the Justice Machine book for 1st ed Heroes Unlimited though and 1st ed Villaisn limited..

And I used to have an original comic book sized Mechanoids II. I have the trilogy reprint. I have Systems Failure, and Splicers and the Legion add on for it.

I have Beyond the Supernatural 1st and 2nd and the Crated Nightmares book. 1st ed is pretty beat up.

I was looking for Dimension Book 9 until the internet clued me in that i was never released.   Heh. Palladium is fun stuff. I have the Macross II Sourcebook too. Most of what I am missing ignoring RIFTER issues is Palladium Fanatasy stuff. I think I have 1st edition revided, monsters and animals, and 2nd edition and that's it. I also have an old copy of Old Ones.
