This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I could not find my previous thread on d6 systems questions/house rules so I thought I would start this new thread.

1. What house rules do you use in your d6 games?
2. How do you conduct initiative?

Thanks!

In the days of yore, my friend Keith introduced into his Star Wars campaign what we ended up dubbing "de Brau Initiative" in his honor many years later. Basically, the character of the player to the right of the GM acts first, with the character of the player to their right acting second, and so on. . . the NPCs always act last. It was simple, got the job done, and ended up working much better than the default system in Star Wars did for us.

Initiative just RAW, but 2nd rev & expd, of course!

Apart from that, our houserule was, that no matter what, a hit by a blaster results in a "stunned" result minimum.
Thusly, even a wookie will go down after five hits the latest.
