I'd like less SJW entryist  bullshit and Eden Studios to come roaring back but otherwise gaming is pretty good right now.

I believe there was actually a short-lived RPG called 'Droids' in the 1980s.

I hope I might bring Soul's Calling to the masses, or at least get as far as a Kickstarter (which I won't do until I have the text in basically its final form, probably meaning indexed, formatted and everything).

In an ideal world, I would also get to run or play a proper home campaign of it this year. Last year's medium-length campaign will linger long in the memory, and I don't have time for another one while I'm editing the text, but it would be great to get something regular going by next winter.

Other than that, I'd like to get to a convention - probably Indiecon this year - and to get some live roleplay done, and maybe take a casual part in some home games. That might well turn out to be some iteration of D&D, maybe ideally 5e or AD&D 1st ed.

I especially hope that I have successes reffing Soul's Calling with an a-ref at a convention (or two?), and getting people to experience immersion maybe deeper than they have before, or for the first time.

For the wider RPG community, I wish D&D 5e the best of luck, and hope they continue to avoid flooding the market with splatbooks as has previously been known to happen, to the ruination of many an RPG.

Oh, man, that's a good one. Beyond Human is a game I'd really like to see.

My hopes for the new year of gaming are that my Necessary Evil game gets a bit better with the players interacting with each other more (as supervillains they all have not interacted much with each other much outside of combat and misisons).

I hope that Ted's cyberpunk Interface Zero Savage Worlds Shadowrun emulating game goes well.

I hope that we eventually get to play Ted's Deadlands Reloaded The Last Sons in Savage Worlds.

As for products, I am looking forward to Codex Infernus, A Savage Worlds Guide to Hell, as I think it has a lot of potential for games for me to run. Hell could be Norcan Darr in Shaintar, it could also be Hell for a Disgaea kind of game, or even a D&D fantasy game type of Hell. I think it has a lot of potential. I wish I had the cash to back the Kickstarter in September, but no cash for it then.

Cyberpunk 2077 finally goes into production.

Someone gets the Marvel license and uses a new FASERIP variant to promote the holy shit out of it.

Kara-Tur/Al-Qadim/Darksun for 5e. I'll take an Eberron or Greyhawk too.

Any of these will make my 2016 a good one for gaming.

There was talk that there would be.  I remember the interview with the console game developers mentioning that because they were working with Mr. Pondsmith that there would be a table-top version as well.

I reckon that has to be a good thing as Shadowrun has had the run of the field in the cyberpunk genre for a very long time, and the type of imagery that could be married to Mike Pondsmith's original vision and system, via the online game, could be quite spectacular.

I have it on great authority the *intention* is to bring CP2077 to TTRPG's once the groundwork for the videogame is completed.

Mike is spending time in Poland consulting. Not just a weekend here or there - but some protracted time.


Once the core of the videogame is established which will take place in Night City, then Mike will come back and the production on the TTRPG will commence, using whatever concepts they establish in the videogame as the foundation for what will be extrapolated out from there.

I sure hope everyone likes Dark Albion: Cults of Chaos, when it comes out!
