This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Blackhand

It's not just about the game.  The game itself is just an entry level platform.

It's more about how FUCKING AWESOME IT IS.

Endless Flight

I enjoyed the Rules Cyclopedia, but I sold mine off a while back too. I actually enjoy using the boxed sets instead, mainly due to the art.

Claudius

I have never seen a copy of D&D Cyclopedia, but D&D BECM was the first RPG I have ever played. Oh, the nostalgia. :)

I cannot understand why Wizards doesn't put it in print again. It would be a machine to print money.
Grając zaś w grę komputerową, być może zdarzyło się wam zapragnąć zejść z wyznaczonej przez autorów ścieżki i, miast zabić smoka i ożenić się z księżniczką, zabić księżniczkę i ożenić się ze smokiem.

Nihil sine magno labore vita dedit mortalibus.

And by your sword shall you live and serve thy brother, and it shall come to pass when you have dominion, you will break Jacob's yoke from your neck.

Dios, que buen vasallo, si tuviese buen señor!

Heck yes it would. It's the perfect book completely self contained, you really need nothing else except maybe a monster manual.
Don\'t mess with cats we kill wizards in one blow.;)

Creature Catalog!  It's D&D, not AD&D or D20! :nono:

Just because I'm a rules lawyer doesn't mean I can sue you for that. ;)

Nice one.:)
Seriously, you could try, but getting blood out of a turnip is a bit hard I hear.

The RC has a decently sized bestiary in it.
"Tony wrecks in the race because he forgot to plug his chest piece thing in. Look, I\'m as guilty as any for letting my cell phone die because I forget to plug it in before I go to bed. And while my phone is an important tool for my daily life, it is not a life-saving device that KEEPS MY HEART FROM EXPLODING. Fuck, Tony. Get your shit together, pal."

Yes, but that editions' Creature Catalog complements it perfectly.  Those are really the two only things you need - well, and the proper edition DM screen!

I have been vindicated! Well I suppose you would need some dice and a DM screen would be nice.

Danger

In a related, yet not, sort of way, this is my newest, "saved from pawn shop damnation," find:

http://dutchman.rebooty.com/94carbine.html

She's a m94-14 model with intact extension at the end of the barrel (to make it 18" for US consumption) and all of the serial numbers match - don't know about the stock, but I'd wager that if 90% of the numbers jive on the outside, the stock will too.  Goddam is this rifle hot.

Only bad part is the rear sight "slide-thingy," that adjusts the rear sight's elevation is missing but hopefully I can get that taken care of soon.

Figure on spiffing up the Garand to get it out the door so I can fulfill my milsurp bolt-action desires...the same shop has a sporterized '03 Springfield that needs some love...

Sorry for the derail.
I start from his boots and work my way up. It takes a good half a roll to encompass his jolly round belly alone. Soon, Father Christmas is completely wrapped in clingfilm. It is not quite so good as wrapping Roy but it is enjoyable nonetheless and is certainly a feather in my cap.

Half-Price Books just sold me T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil for $7.50.
