This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Hitler's stats?

Ok, he's about the most widely recognized person in the history of mankind and more's been written on him than any other person except maybe for Jesus, so has anyone ever statted out Adolph Hitler?

I'd imagine his stats would vary widely over his life. In WW1 he was obviously very fit and had excellent endurance, evidenced by the fact he was a message runner, and they had to be in top shape. Also he won the iron cross in ww1 and captured several british POWs, so he was an above average soldier.

Later in life, of course, his stats would radically alter as his health tanked, and according to many sources advanced syphillis and drug addiction took their toll on him mentally and physically.

He would have to have an obscene amount of luck in any system, of course, to have survived the various assasination attempts made against him.

So if a game has ever statted out hitler and you have the stats, please post a link, I was jsut curious expecially after the 'statting george" thread.

I find this thread-opening disturbing, but I´m very "optimistic" of Hitler being statted out in one of the GURPS Who is Who supplements.

Do I really want to know what you´d need that for?

On the subject of statting mass murderers being disturbing... we seem to have a weird double standard about these sorts of things.

Civilization has Genghis Khan as a leader, Stalin as a leader, Napoleon as a leader, but not Hitler (course, that might also be because then the game couldn't be sold in Germany).

Anyway... given that I'm writing a WWII book and reading a comic that has Hitler make the occasional appearance, it doesn't seem TOTALLY out of bounds to me.

Statting him out tells more about the image you have of him than being helpful in a game.

Don´t know nothing about HeroQuest.
So obviously there might be a game were you need Hitler-Stats.

Care to explain a game situation?

If the comic is "Midnighter", did you notice that everyone's favourite gay Batman-impersonator was apparently responsible for this:

The comic book was the Invaders, a 70's comic about the adventures of Marvel's golden age heroes (Captain America, Human Torch, Sub-mariner). Hitler appears in multiple issues.

Which is of course totally appropriate since, on the cover of Captain America #1 (from the 40's), he's punching Hitler across the mouth.

Hitler has no stats. He's dead. One of my players' characters shot him in 1968 in a mansion near Marietta GA. The character happened to be first generation German-American, brought up speaking German, so he had a chat with Adolph before he shot him. Shot the old man right through the left eye in cold blood - he was unarmed and in a wheelchair, and very old - in a library on the second floor, while the mansion burned and his friends cut down the SS and KKK trying to escape.

Clash,
I have to say, I am a bit disappointed in you. Your historical facts are all wrong. It was a group of mine, in Buenos Aires, in 1955. After dispatching the zombie SS guards and their skeletal Sturmbannfuhrer, the leader of the group, a saucy Jewish Nazi hunter realized who she had and rather than let him become a focal point for radicals around the world, she drove the Nazi dagger that killed her father into the black heart of Hitler.

Sheesh, man, pull it together.
