Calling all Ravenloft experts...

I was just looking through an old copy of the Ravenloft adventure "Web of Illusion" only to discover it was set in a sort of fantasy version of India called Sri Raji.

I had no idea Ravenloft included analogs to real world cultures other than the whole gothic horror/vampire thing.

What domains in ravenloft have a clear real world analogue?

What book(s) are these domains (such as Sri Raji) detailed in (both 2e and 3e)?

I don't know about supplemental books. I do know that it was White Wolf that bought the rights to Ravenloft for 3.0 for a while, discontinued the line, and I think WoTC bought it back up.

I also know that there's a Victorian England analogue, a renaissance French domain, a renaissance-era domain for Frankenstein, and a colonial Louisiana domain. The core Ravenloft 3.0 book will give you that info and more, and you should be able to get it for super, super cheap. I've got an AD&D Ravenloft DM's Guide, but it's over a thousand miles away, so I can't offer to sell it to you or anything.

There should also be some desert/Egyptian domains. A flavor for every player, I guess. ^_^
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but all I remember are the domain analogs, not too much about either one. Many are vague in the core book, but are went into in more depth in gazetteer-style splats.
