This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

While I adore Top Secret SI (especially for FREELANCERS, and Agent 13). I voted for MSPE because of its solid play, its discussion of the genre, its talk of live clues and the fact it does all this in one tiny solid package.

I think Spycraft  2.0 is beautifully put together huge tome, of really good stuff that's just a might bit too complicated for me. It's very nice for what it is, but I really like simpler systems.

D'oh! I forgot about Millennium's End. I played a good bit of that. I loved the crispness of the rules and the techno-thriller feel. The overlay shooting was novel. I guess Aces and Eights is doing something similar, but I haven't seen it in action yet.

Another I've had a surprising amount of mileage out of is CORPS. Not the hexy generic one, But the little black $8.00 one from back in the day. It was conspiracy investigation. The rules were light, but clear and surprisingly detailed. They held up well under play.
Employment Counselor: So what do you like to do outside of work?
Oblivious Gamer: I like to play games: wargames, role-playing games.
EC: My cousin killed himself because of role-playing games.
OG: Jesus, what was he playing? Rifts?

I had the hexy one, and was pretty impressed with how much he did with how little.

It seems like his subsequent effort, EABA, was a step backwards to me.
The Secret Volcano Base: my intermittently updated RPG blog.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

James Bond 007, no contest. However, Slaadman's posts make me want to check out Spycraft at last.

Spycraft never dies! :p :D

I like the dramatic conflict part and the fact that it is d20, so it is half the work to learn the system.
