SPECIAL NOTICE
Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). However, there is no direct evidence that any such activity occurred. REGARDLESS, BE SURE TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Tenkar posted this bit about Hasbro repeatedly nominating themselves, paying about $17K annually, submitting self-reported data and then proudly displaying their enviable status. Take a look at this:

For some definitions of ethical, as in ethical = Unethical.

Here is why this forum tends to be so stupid. Many people here think Joe Biden is "The Left", when he is actually Far Right and every US republican is just an idiot.

I live in an area with TERRIBE cell reception, despite being urban. We have parts of streets that are actual dead spots. The reason? Every time there's an attempt to put up a cell tower anywhere within a few miles, a 'committee of concerned citizens' blocks it, and have been doing so for years.

It has an official sounding name, something like 'citizens of <our location.> The thing is, it has 2 members. Two no-life sad sacks making a fuss, and working the local government system, is all it takes to keep us in an area of shitty signals.

Any time I see a company with awards, I assume most of them are paid for, or worse, given to them by a wing of their own corporation. Hell, look at the award Susan Wojcicki 'won.'
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

They won an award they had to pay for?  Basically a meaningless award.

This is pretty standard fare for big companies.  I work for a Fortune 250 company and they celebrate the "Most Ethical Company" designation on a weekly basis.

It's why Dodge RAM has won the JD Powers award for the last 30 years. Because they pay for it.

I believe it.  I don't pay attention to awards.  If I am going to buy a vehicle (or anything else) I will buy it based on whether it does what I need.
