China starts it by invadeing Taiwan. They used technology 100 years more advanced than the rest of the world. This technology was derived from an alien space ship that crashed 10 years ago. We knew an event had happened in china. But do to Chinas ability to blind our spy satellites with lasers. We were in the dark about the ship. We being that Taiwan is an ally of the US and th UK (that and both our countries cant mind our own business) Both countries mobilize a task force to deal with the chinese. Our one ace in the hole. Is the fact that five years ago we perfected and put into production. The land warrior concept. Which fully intergrated a soldier and his gear. Armor with amplified strength, fully NBC sheilding, communications, and smart linked weapon systems. Featuring the OICW weapon system.
Well while we were engaged with the chinese. The North Koreans taking advantage of use being spread so thin. (As we are still involved in Afganistan, Iraq, and now china) Launched an attack against the Japanese. Again one of our allies we then brought forces to bear aginst the North Koreans. Further weakening our possitions.
Russia to entered the fray in the pretext of helping the US, and UK. But this was more of a ploy to retake countries lost to them in the fall of the soviet union. Though they did take some strategic posistions in northern china. With a recently revealed weapon. Super soldiers. Genetically enhanced, stronger, faster, sharper senses, and faster healing.
The next blow that struck was in the middle east. Tensions rose there. Engulfing Israel, and the US collition forces stationed in Iraq. The entiriey of Israel turned into a war zone. Scrappy survivors Israel hangs on. Even in the face of arab soldiers chemically modified. These soldiers had special cybernetic equipment grafted to their bodies. That pump them full of combat enhancement drugs. Making them faster, stronger, and with stand massive damage.
Europe is beginning to suffer a break down of order. Besides the increase of random terrorist attacks. The entire region has started rationing. Due to the lacking of food resources previously provided by the US, China, and Russia. This has agitated the people. Reminding some of the aftermath of WWII. Strong nationalistic group are starting to come to power. Each eyeing its neighbors territory.
Finally the United States has fasllen into crisis. Home grown as well as exterior terror groups hve struck several times. Rising crime as well as discontent for the wars raging around the world, that we are involved in. Is crushing the infra structure of the country. Several groups have declared ther small territories independent of the US. Bringing law enforcement down on these towns and villiages in draconian fashion. Furthering these groups beliefs that they are fighting a facist dictatorship. There is rumors that Texas is planning on succeeding from the union. If this happens all hell will break loose. The second civil war maybe a very real thing.

I think Jesus Power vs. Mechas would be quite awesome.  A two-fisted preacher swinging a great big horkin' glowing crucifix to bat away incoming missile-storms.  Maser cannons on overdrive blowing a clean, smoking hole straight through the middle of an avenging angel.  I love the visuals.

I always wanted Religious powered mecha against demons from hell.


Think of it--demons can't be killed by missiles, or bombs, only by direct one on one confrontation..only these demons are five meters tall! So we fashion sword and mace wielding mecha to upscale our human fighters to their size. Only one on one can they be fought and killed. Weapons based on harmonic spiritual powers developed from Christian artifacts are a late development of the war.

The Sepulchre of Saints Spiritual Resonator Cannon, SSSRC Mark 1 (a lattice work of saints bones which when energized emit harmful to demons spiritual resonance--fired at targets it slows and injures demons, disrupts hellgates, but still need the swords to finish them off.

Absolute Word from Heaven Defensive Shield. Another spiritual resonance weapon, this time in latin/greek/aramaic bits of the bible are read and broadcast out through massive speakers---creating a defensive perimiter demons cannot cross.

Of course all people are Sinners and long exposure to the resonator weapons may purge their sin from their bodies manifesting as new demons, or corrupt figures too sinful and just trying to fight a war, they've no real faith so they end up sabotaging humanities efforts and becoming demon-marked servants....and..

Oh well.
