This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Kyle Brink was specifically complaining about diversity among the D&D designer group, a group of 7 total people in the U.S. with that job.

This is 1) in the Magic the Gathering group, 2) in Latin America, and 3) not in that small discreet group he was complaining about.

But you go on with your disingenuous click-baity self Pundit. Par for the course. And yet somehow, your videos still don't get a meaningful number of clicks while guys like Tenkar, with the same kind of audience, do. I wonder why? Could it be Tenkar isn't constantly disingenuous and click-baity and, let's face it, boring as fuck with an image of your cat or the same small set of friggen books rather than a human being talking and engaging with their audience? I mean dang dude, video is for VIDEO. Do a podcast if you don't like the camera.

Let's do a simple comparative analysis, shall we?
Tenkar's video on this topic (the firing of the Brazilian WotC employees) currently has 1200 views. Mine currently has 5000 views.
In terms of community engagement; in those two videos, Tenkar has 26 comments, and 68 likes. I have 189 comments, and 510 likes.

Tenkar's most viewed video so far this year has 12578 views. My most viewed video so far this year has 26394 views.
His least viewed video so far this year (not counting livestreams or shorts) has 93 views. My least viewed video this year (not counting livestreams or shorts) has 955 views.
He has 2630 subs. I have 6905 subs.

In every single respect, and no disrespect intended to Tenkar, in terms of videos I consistently kick Tenkar's ass. Which means you're talking out of yours.

Also, if you'd bothered to watch my video, you'd know that I specified in the video exactly who this group of fired employees were.

Kyle Brink was specifically complaining about diversity among the D&D designer group, a group of 7 total people in the U.S. with that job.

The interviewers were asking about diversity among senior WoTC personnel, wanting more non-whites in senior positions. Brink segued that into saying white guys like him were leaving the workforce, D&D players were no longer white neckbeards in the basement, & whites couldn't leave 'the hobby' fast enough for him. AFAICT neither he nor they said anything about D&D designers specfically.

I reposted the transcript again on the earlier thread about Pundit's video about the interview.

S'mon, the specific statement is "guys like me can't leave soon enough for this hobby". It seems you misheard that as "leave the hobby" - which is what you quote, but he says "leave for this hobby".

All of his previous statements and following statements are about the 100% white male WotC management. So I read that as "It would be better for this hobby if guys like me would leave the workforce."

According to him, the player base is already diverse, and the problem is that the management doesn't reflect the player base.

I don't believe him, but I think that is what he was trying to claim.

I think it's hilarious how all of Brink's defenders use arguments that makes Brink look horrible.

Well they're desperately trying to spin it, because it's what they do, but as much as one tries to spin a bucket of shit, it remains a bucket of shit.
I'm a middle aged guy with a lot of free time, looking for similar, to form a group for regular gaming. You should be chill, non-woke, and have time on your hands.

tenkar doesnt have a big fat pussy to put on camera and pull the viewer in though, this is like comparing the british navy to the honduran navy due to a lack of chungus/meatball. So in the name of diversity equitity and gay bunny rabbits having trans bunny rabbit babies you should give half your likes to poor no pussy havin tenkar.
