This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Has anyone compiled a "Complete" 5e OGL Monster Book?

Has anyone compiled the "complete" OGL 5e monster statistics for an AD&D creature list?  Such a list can be found in the "AD&D Monster List with OGL status, sources and alternatives" pdf.

I haven't heard of such a list, but maybe you could link the PDF instead of just mentioning it?

Thanks, that's interesting.

I'm curious what makes the 'Tome of Horrors Complete' be considered an OGL source, even though it's for Pathfinder, and other sources aren't considered OGL sources.

Tome of Horrors has been OGL since way back in early 3e. The Necromancer guys pulled a fast one and OGCed lots of AD&D creatures with permission. It has been a blessing.

Once the toothpaste gets squeezed, you can't put it back in.

Ah I see. It was originally released under Swords & Sorcery and also as a d20 license product. I guess that was back when Ryan Dancey was still influential, since he would have probably allowed it on purpose.

Here is the link.  The site may be a bit dodgy though:

who is handling the updates for this list?

It's probably some anon. You'd have to post to /tg/ if you think something ought to be updated.

The really really excellent AD&D3e fan made Monster Manual could be a guide post for this project, but it would need to be OGC content and not have art or use Public Domain or OGC art (or even new commissioned art).
