This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Not sure I like the "let's build a time machine" aspect of the whole thing. But if they can maintain a high level of quality, I'll be glad to have another print magazine to peruse.

Oh hey a little birdie told me everyone's favorite internet stalker was there giving you a hard time.
Well I remember seeing one particular individual that could fit that description, but honestly I didn't give a crap about his particular presence.

Akrasia

New pieces by Lenard Lakofka and Phil Foglio?!?

Well I guess I'll get the PDF (and possibly the print version) for that alone!
RPG Blog: Akratic Wizardry (covering Cthulhu Mythos RPGs, TSR/OSR D&D, Mythras (RuneQuest 6), Crypts & Things, etc., as well as fantasy fiction, films, and the like).

Quote from: BedrockBrendan;622270Nice. That looks like a good range of topics and writers to me.

Ya, for real.  The contents page is even a bigger eye catcher than the cover to me.

SJBenoist

Just ordered the first issue.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Endless Flight

It looks interesting and I may buy.

I think they're restraining their marketing potential by naming it Gygax though, if the magazine is indeed all about games from across all eras of roleplaying. Maybe they're only going for the gamer over 30 who's heard of Gary.

danbuter

I'm surprised about Icons and Godlike being in the first issue. I figured they'd stick more to old D&D. Kinda neat.
Sword and Board - My blog about BFRPG, S&W, Hi/Lo Heroes, and other games.
Sword & Board: BFRPG Supplement Free pdf. Cheap print version.

Do tell.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans

Ancient Gamer 1970. It's not worth bitching about for posts and posts, I didn't interact with him at all.

I don't think Adamant owns ICONS anymore. I believe Steve Kenson owns it now. I believe he just finished a Kickstarter for a book called With Great Power or something like that.

Oh.  I wonder if the big, tough marine would let Allie Goertz take off her glasses before he knocked her out?
