This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

The Gratis Games version is a good book but includes quite a few subtle rule changes from MSH. They also kept the stat names but changed the column names for some bizarre reason.

The Advanced (and later-edition Basic) sets had several tables for defensive moves. It's really simple, though, to give -N CS with whatever rationale seems meet.

I've got the old four-volume Gamers Guide to the Marvel Universe, which gives MSH stats for lots of characters. On a more limited scale, there are topical books on the Fantastic Four, Avengers and X-Men series.

Sometimes, looking at a write-up for a Marvel character will help me work out the depiction of a new character. Then again, sometimes I find the official version inadequate.

Mostly, though, I find it very easy to whip up something from the basic building blocks.
