This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

If I ran a 40K campaign...

And "Bill the Galactic Hero", particularly the jungle scenes.  The bit with him flopping on his bunk and being suddenly attacked a a carniverous plant just has to go in there

I think it would be cool to go a rogue trader route maybe a crew that's seeking out fabled worlds that has since been lost to some warp storm or another. Hot on their heels is am Inquisitor just looking for an excuse to execute the traders for heresy or nuke the newfound planets for various taints.

I don't seem to recall that they ever did, but my knowledge of 40K is outdated. But you did give me an interesting idea for my Kurtz -like Inquisitor.

I think the different Chapters of Space Marines (and Im assuming that Inquisitors are not different) each had their own traditions and beliefs - almost akin to a religious order or cult. Some eat the blood and brains of the enemy for example as part of their killing rite.
