I still think it was a stupid thing to do on the part of the DM to run the game with such disturbing material. For fuck sake if the main premise of the campaign is " kidnapping and sexual assault gang on the player characters" without letting them knowing in advance just so the DM can get off on the shock value is just truly stupid and one of the rare times I am in agreement with many of the posters of rpg.net. One is just asking to become a social pariah and deservedly so from the hobby. As for the post the OP quoted about Jim denbourgh the poster who wrote that on their forum was not an actual mod, broke their rules about no personal attacks on rpg creators and was banned for a week. So every now and then they get it right.

As for Jim Denbourgh I am not with him on his defence of the DM. It is one thing to be told about the nature of the campaign, still join the game then get offended. Dropping the kind of bombshell the DM did in this culture of political correctness and more importantly the subject matter the DM was begging for trouble. With all due respect to JIM many hills to die on this was the wrong one.

Have they denounced 50 shades and GoT yet? Nope, and never will because it's not about the principle (they have none) in that regard I have a bit more respect for the puritans on the right, they have a principle (a fucked one but still) and will censor everything that goes against it regardless of who wrote it.
