This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Burning Wheel
Runequest III
2300AD
Megatraveller
Heroquest

All four of these get me excited about gaming. I'll make up characters and generate star systems and whatnot. Burning Wheel sees the most actual play, though.

I'm endlessly fascinated with HQ, and every AP post I've ever read about it makes me want to play, but for some reason I can't grok it enough to get a game together (and there's zero chance of me getting to play (as opposed to GM) it, around here).

All of my favorite games give me "that feeling."

In no particular order:

Castles and Crusades

Vampire: the Requiem

Blue Planet

Broncosaurus Rex

Ironclaw
-JFC Wolz
Co-host of 2 Gms, 1 Mic

That isn't a system, its not even a setting. Its a campaign I ran.

But hey, still, its cool that every single game you mentioned was in references to campaigns of mine. :D

Mekton is really the only game that still does this for me.  I can sit making up characters and/or mechs all day in Mekton and be happy.  And every one makes me enthusiasic.  I write them up and think about playing them.  I go through possible character arcs and development in my head.

Silverlion

Well most of the games I'm writing or working on, some others that still do it not of my creation:

OVA,
Providence (everytime I read the setting),
NWOD (yes really just the corebook though, I happen to like the cryptozoology bits.)
High Valor REVISED: A fantasy Dark Age RPG. Available NOW!
Hearts & Souls 2E Coming in 2019

J Arcane

Hmm.

d6 Star Wars.
DC Heroes.
Rifts/Palladium.
GURPS.
Monsters & Mazes.
D&D 3.0.

More recently, Gamma World brought that out a bit but then I wound up getting distracted by other things and haven't even finished reading the book yet.
