Title: Good Fantasy RPGs and Adventures for small Groups (2-3 players & GM)
Post by: Lawbag on April 10, 2010, 07:33:37 PM
Our group is kinda stuck for the moment with a small group until we can recruit some new blood.

So really Im looking for ideal RPG systems and adventures/campaigns that would suit small groups.

Pundit, at first I thought you were taking the piss, then suddenly it dawned on me too. Yes Dr Who would be PERFECT.

Thanks.

...Risus. You can run anything with Risus and it's about as easy as a RPG can be.

In general, investigative adventures are easier to structure for fewer people than combat heavy games.  Many fantasy games expect some combined arms aspects or having one of each of the special abilities.  Also, when somebody goes down, it's much more painful if they're half the party instead of 1/6 of the party.

Well, Tunnels and Trolls is simple enough that you can potentially run with 2 - 3 characters per player, if so inclined.

I second T&T and S&W, and would also mention Dragon Age.

Ancient Odysseys: Treasure Awaits (http://www.pigames.net/store/default.php?cPath=101) can even be played solo, let alone with just a couple folks. Very neat, elegant, nifty little boxed set.

Obviously, and no problem. Doctor Who is MADE for small player groups.

Ooh yeah, Dragon age would fit into this category nicely.
