Hey, I'm taking a day trip to Birmingham, Alabama this week. I want to visit any and all stores that sell RPGs.
I know about Nord's at the Galleria; it's pretty nice. Are there any other places I need to put on my list?
If you know this area, and can suggest somewhere to visit I'd appreciate it.
If you're travelling to Birmingham,
where the wind sweeps heavy o'er the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there, she once was a true love of mine.
If you go when the snowflakes storm,
when the rivers freeze and summer ends,
see that she has a coat that's warm,
to keep her from the howlin winds...
...oh no, wait, sorry, that's North Country.
You said wanted advice on going to Birmingham, right..
If you're going to Birmingham,
parsley sage, rosemary and thyme.
Remember me to one who lives there,
she once was a true love of mine.
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt,
parsley sage rosemary and thyme.
Without no seams or needlework,
then she'll be a true love of mine...
...oh wait, sorry sorry. That's not Birmingham either, that's Scarborough fair.
I know I've got advice for going to Birmingham here somewhere...
If you go, down to Birmingham,
make sure your woman, she will understand.
Green rocky road, promenading green,
tell me who you love.
If when you get there, its another man.
Try to come back here, if you can.
Green rocky road, promenading green.
Tell me who you love.
Maybe you could stop wandering, even settle down.
If things were different, here in Birmingham.
Green Rocky Road, promenading green.
Tell me who you love.
Tell me who you love...
... no, damnit.. that's London Town.
This is the problem when you know these many folk songs! They hold the key to all the mysteries of the universe but sometimes you get them all confused.
Wait, here I've got something:
Hey look over yonder tell me what you see?
Marching over to the fields of Birmingham
Looks like handsome Johnny with his hand Rolled in a fist
marching to the Birmingham war
Marching to the Birmingham war!
hmm... there's also:
On Birmingham Sunday a noise shook the ground.
And people all over the earth turned around.
For no one recalled a more cowardly sound.
And the choirs kept singing of Freedom.
and:
Walkin' down to Birmingham,
way down south in Dixieland.
I thought that I would stop a while
Take a vacation Southern style
Got some Southern hospitality...down there in a Southern hospital.
It seems like the folk akashik records have little good to say about Birmingham... be wary!
