I may have exaggerated a bit. Sorry.

But what I meant to say is that Kult ties campaigns to the characters dark secrets on a such a fundamental level that CoC doesn't do. In Kult the characters personal issues are not there to hook PCs to the GM adventure or a published module. In Kult  those issues are the campaign. Because of this, the game takes a personal tone that is different (and more interesting, IMO) than what CoC does.

If you get any one supplement for Kult from past editions, I highly recommend Legions of Darkness (Kult 1e)

Anything else is additional fodder to steal from. Purgatory and the two Conjurer supplements ('Beyond the Boundaries' and "Heart, Mind & Soul') are a bit annoying to read BUT they are beautiful albeit thin books and the content is actually really fun/disturbing and inspiring.

DCC In Space!
Star Wars with homemade ruleset (Roll&Keep type system).

You mean how it creates an intrigue map around the PCs' Dark Secrets, converging elements of the cosmology to them on a personal level? If so, yeah that's neat. And again, an improvement over CoC's "let's investigate just because".

Somewhat outside of the game supplements, but the 4-issue Kult comic book series from Dark Horse was decent as well (links @ http://www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=list&title=48580478152&snumber=1)---and the _Death Is Only the Beginning_ novel published via KS @ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1192053011/death-is-only-the-beginning-new-novel-in-the-kult/ both helped me to paint the picture of how Kult's default universe/setting works "in play" better than just reading through the 1e rules did.  

Unfortunately I've still not played a game of Kult yet.
