This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: jrientsDon't let the word 'Children' in the title scare anyone off. My wife and I spent an afternoon at the Indy Children's Museum and had a great time. That was before our daughter was born. It's just a great museum.

We just took my daughter last week (she's 2 and a half now), and we all had fun.  And the giant water clock is still one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Quote from: HinterWeltWell, I have only recently convinced Linda that it is cool. I've done my share of camping and anything that has indoor toilets is a luxury. ;)

Bill

Before I married, camping equipment was bedroll, tarp, line. and dried food. Now we have portable gas grills, air matresses, a cooking table, electric cooler, bug zappers, etc. - for tent camping! My wife refuses to camp anywhere that doesn't have flush toilets and showers....

I'll be there. As just a money-spening gamer slob this year.

Though I could make an oblique claim to press, I would think.

Running: Pathfinder Scarred Lands, Mutants & Masterminds, Masks, Starfinder, Bulldogs!
Playing: Sigh. Nothing.
Planning: Some Cyberpunk thing, system TBD.

Quote from: Zachary The FirstWhat seminars are you doing this year, Jared?

Not sure yet but probably the usual complement of game design seminars (theory, design, worldbuilding and publication).

I'd like to integrate some kind of workshopping feature but that takes time and energy and I HAVE LITTLE TO OFFER!

For the years I covered Gen Con with RPG Blog, we did up T-shirts with our web address and whatnot on it. I'm thinking of doing the same thing for theRPGsite--purple shirts with yellow lettering, the logo in the upper-left hand corner there, the website addy on the back, with "Speak Your Mind" or whatever below that. Maybe I'll have a couple versions printed up--my mother-in-law runs a print shop, so it's pretty easy for me to do.

I'll also be liberal with handing out business cards--hopefully, I can get the site a decent stack of review material to boot!

Also need to see about liveblogging the ENnies...

We'll be there with bells on and coffee brewed.  Epic RPG will have a booth in the GPA block this year, so we'll be a little easier to find than 2006.

I don't know that Kev will go this year--depends on if he submits anything, I suppose.  I would think Rifts Madhaven would have a shot at Best Cover Art, but we'll see. ;)

Also, I'd love to meet some other rpgsiters face to face.  Please drop by our booth and say hey.

I'll probably be there.

Last year I wound up on the local news and I never got to see the segment till someone e-mailed it to me on the Monday afterwards.
Kind of weird the manager and waitresses of the restaurant we went to on Saturday recognized me from that.
