This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

[Gen Con Indy] Never too early...

So who will be making the trip this year? Who's planning on being an exhibitor, who's running games, who's taking part in seminars, who's just going for the chainmail bikinis and catgirls?

I'll be "press" again this year, as I have the past 3 years, only this year, I'll be your humble theRPGsite.com correspondent! My wife (who will 7 months pregnant with our 2nd future gamer at that point), who takes the photos, will be accompanying! I'm already psyched for it. And yup, I'm an Indy native, so for those of you planning to make the trip "home", I'll share my little tour guide again this year. :) (Indy has a lot folks don't know about--you might be surprised)!

I'll also be in at least 1 seminar this year, the same GM-Fu seminar group from last year. Now THAT was a lot of fun—it's likely one of the things I'm looking forward to the most. But I wouldn't mind being on a few more panels, if I, like, you know, actually did anything...

Outstanding.

I'll be going with my extended gaming family (not my actual family.. uhh)

By that I mean, my campaign, and my "sister campaign" groups, as many people as we can convince to go. I now have three sister campaigns I guess. Out of 18 people spread across 4 gaming groups, we'll see how many of my people will go. I know of 3 definites so far.

Zachary I, if you want a "guy on the scene" reporting on RPGA/WOTC stuff, I'd be glad to do that in an unofficial capacity. I planned on doing that anyway, and just reporting back to here.

I'm intending to be there and running games. I haven't booked anything yet, as last I went to the site nothing was up. I'm planning on renting a camper and having my son Klaxon do the driving, then setting up at a campsite nearby.

Jared and I are sharing a booth. We'll be there running games, hosting panels and causing mayhem.

I certainly wouldn't call Luke a vanity publisher, he's obviously worked very hard to promote BW, as have a handful of other guys from the Forge. -- The RPG Pundit

Clash, I'm on the NE side. You need a place to wash up or get a home-cooked meal, I'm there, buddy.  Consider me your local contact. :D

Maw, sounds good!

I'm not sure yet, but there is a good chance I will be going.

I'm not sure if I'll run a game yet or just play a bunch.:D

Whoa! Thanks for the offer, Zachary! I think we'll be set - I'm a top flight cook and Klax's not far behind, and we have a whole camper, but I really appreciate the offer! :D

Heck, if you have two premium cooks, I'm going to the camper!

(Psst!  Don't tell the wife!)

Clash, any chance some of the YGN crew along with Better Mousetrap might bond together and get some booth space?  I know XRP's booth is always popular, and Bill's got his thing, but pricey (and man, is it pricey!) as booths are, I like to see the quality guys all out there as much as possible.  :)

I'm curious, what does a little cubbie-hole booth cost?

And are they 10'x10'? :)

I wish.  Not going to happen, though.

My wife and I are going this year.  Last year was the first year we missed since 2000 -- we went to Otakon in Baltimore instead for a change of pace.  It was okay, but we're in no hurry to go again, while we're really looking forward to Indy after missing it last year.

I'll probably run some stuff, plus I want to try to make some of the seminars too.
