This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Blue skinned gods who meddle in the affairs of men.

Monkey headed warriors/gods battling giant serpents.

Erotic stone carvings on temple walls in lush jungles.

Head strong but naive women lusted by the most vile of demon kings.

....and an in game bonus/mechanism which rewards players who manage to influence the adventure into becoming a parable :D

Quote from: SosthenesInteresting fact: Indian statues have bigger boobs than Greek statues.

That's because Greek men are better at staying at an optimal weight than Indian men are.

For a parallel universe version of India, in which the British Empire relocated in the late 1800's after comet strikes devastated most of the northern hemisphere, check out S.M. Stirling's "The Peshawar Lancers." It's the early 21st century (around 2024, I think), and the world is a place of Victorian tropes, a dash of steampunk, a lot of pulp action, and a lot of Indian background. A very fun read.

4e definitely has an Old School feel. If you disagree, cool. I won\'t throw any hyperbole out to prove the point.
