Frank Mentzer posted a "help wanted" ad on Facebook for a new five day tabletop game convention in Milwaukee, WI this July...
I suppose that's one way to handle the GaryCon situation.
Well, good for him. He can move on and do his own thing. Probably better for him if he just avoids the GaryCon subject, as much as he can.
3,2,1 on the SJW woke triggered brigade lose their minds.
How dare Frank do his own thing. He should spend the rest of life in obscurity and shame for what he did. How dare he get around being blacklisted by the rpg industry.

He could call it FrankCon, MentzerCon, etc.
Go, Frank! More power to him!
MenzCon. Think about it. Ah.
Just not FrankyCon. Por Favor. Or FranciscoCon either.

Oh come on. A combination Mentzer/Sinatra convention would really swing!
Well, I certainly wish him luck. if I didn't have constant crapstorms happening to me, I'd consider helping. I remember playing with him and Petticord in 84 or so.

In the description, when you click on "See More", you'll find that this is a convention event for THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. Not something RPG-related.
...At least the old coot has not lost his sense of humor.

The Democratic party's holding their national convention in Milwaukee in 2020. Mentzer's apparently trying to make a joke or drum up support. He comments on using gaming to show the party how to come together and work as a team. :)
The DNC convention is in Milwaukee, July 13-16, 2020.

Spoiler
Nearly all D&D players are Democrat.
I think he's lost it. He tries way too hard to make up to the SJW's who will never let him back in. He should just sit back and enjoy his obscurity.
They even removed his foreword from the newest Revised PDF of Shadow of the Demon Lord.

That's not even remotely true and never has been.
Even in SJW California, I regularly meet gamers across the political spectrum.
