Just wondering what kind of damage you have seen to your books, and how you have dealt with it.
I've had probs with some of the Palladium book covers where the shiny coating/film on the cover would peal back around the edges. I've used a lighter to carefully melt it to get rid of the excess and keep the pealing from going further. (this is the only prob I've had with thier books, they seem to last well)
I seem to have a prob with the spine on a couple of WoTC books separating out from the cover, but some book glue from work fixed that up nicely.

I have always played with groups who have diverse taste and more importantly pass around books - so I have seen some serious wear and tear on books from various publishers.
The most serious was the case of the mutilated
Death on the Reik boxed set.I'm talking about pages coming off, beverage stains and smoke burns on the maps and the blame was carried by the various gms...me included :mad:
(hey, we were all to blame for the map damage)But that's just the worst example. All of our books are in good condition, by that I mean no loose pages, no major damage to covers ...merely minor nicks and bruises.
If the book is beyond repair and let's face it, in my group that would mean the book took one hell of a beating...the group springs for a new one :)

:) With mine it's just from being hauled around in my bag to games and such. The same thing happens to my non-rpg books, which is why I love hardbacker book covers for my paperbacks (//www.hardbacker.com)
