Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). QuoteCOMPLETELY UNFATHOMABLE combines the whole of Jason Sholtis' (The Dungeon Dozen) 2018 Ennie Award-winning adventure Operation Unfathomable with its new companion volume Odious Uplands. All of the material from the OU Players Guide is included as well.

In Operation Unfathomable, fledgling adventurers descend into the Unfathomable Underworld, a subterranean environment of unsurpassed strangeness and peril, seemingly beyond all hope of survival, on an apparently simple mission to discover what became of a powerful group of politically important adventurers bearing a missing artifact.

Should any of their number manage to survive, the Odious Uplands await! The brave companions emerge into the untamed wilds of Stonespear Province, a land bathed in the dim radiance and ineffable influence of the Chaos Aurora and inhabited by all manner of megafauna, vicious saber-toothed apes, Woolly Neanderthal rangers, scarcely describable entities staggering forth from the Underworld, and other adventurers seeking their fortunes.

I have Operation Unfathomable and the Uplands books, and I highly recommend getting this gonzo setting. IT's a part of my Land of a Thousand Towers campaign.

I liked it so much, I bought the new book!

Here's a review on YouTube here:

1. I'm a married homeowner with a career and kids. I won life. You can't insult me.

2. I've been deployed to Iraq, so your tough guy act is boring.

Yeah it does sound interesting. I don't have much use for a megadungeon, but I might give it a look for the Odious Uplands stuff. I'm working on a gonzo-ish thing of my own at the moment, so it might be worth mining for ideas.

Shit, I really liked Operation Unfathomable. Didn't know this was available.

Also really like Anomalous Subsurface Environment for that matter.

Yep, me too!

In fact, I've incorporated the Unfathomable material into my Land of a Thousand Towers campaign, which as you can tell, ASE is a part of that. Someday my home group will venture into the world of the Land of a Thousand Towers. (sigh) Sorry, I'm been waiting for YEARS to do this campaign, but we haven't had a good chance of doing it. Maybe next year...

So I bought & played the original Operation Unfathomable and enjoyed it quite a bit.  When I found out there was this expanded version for DCC, I grabbed that as well and read through it, but we never got around to playing it because DCC is just a bit too clunky for us.  But now I think I'll flip my DCC version for this since it is that much fun, especially if you're keen on settings that are a bit off.  And note that it's not really a megadungeon.  You can play the underworld section in 3-4 sessions pretty easily.  Then do what you want with the Odious Uplands.

I'm considering making a forum post about my campaign world. Don't know if anyone would be interested, but I'd like to share my ideas.

Setting design is something that I at least am very interested in. I suppose the tough thing for forums would be posing the thread in a way that invites people to contribute to a discussion, rather than just read your setting information and move on.

Absolutely would.
