This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: jrientsAs mentioned, lightsabres, chainswords, and gyrojets are cool.
I'm fond of the 40K plasma weapons as well.  They're shiny and red and spew ionized death, what's not to love?
I've gotta support all this, and the Meltagun besides. Fzzzzzz......POP! and there's a red cloud of vaporized mook drifting lazily on the breeze.
QuoteCyberpunk had two weapons I liked, one was a superheavy revolver in, IIRC, .666 calibre.
Ahhh, the Magnum Opus Hellbringer. You recall correctly, though where 'revolver' ends and 'three-round cylinder break-open 'borg hand cannon' begins is a matter for speculation. The other I don't recall, though it puts me in mind of the 6-barrel 10-gauge Helix gatling shotgun. :D

But I think personally, my sci-fi WMD of choice will always end up being ortillery. No feeling like it in the world.

Quote from: Ian AbsentiaFrom the pages of Twilight: 2000, there was the CAWS, or Close Assault Weapon System, essentially an automatic shotgun with a bullpup design that could fire a variety of different, carnage-producing rounds.
Someone may correct me, but I believe this bad-ass might be real.
Heroism is no more than a chapter in a tale of submission.
"There is a general risk that those who flock together, on the Internet or elsewhere, will end up both confident and wrong [..]. They may even think of their fellow citizens as opponents or adversaries in some kind of 'war'." - Cass R. Sunstein
The internet recognizes only five forms of self-expression: bragging, talking shit, ass kissing, bullshitting, and moaning about how pathetic you are. Combine one with your favorite hobby and get out there!

Nope your correct. The Heckler-Koch / Olin CAWS is real. But it never made it in to production.
Learn more about it here.

Skyrock

In regard of Cyberpunk weapons, nothing beats the Scattergun from the Nomad sourcebook. You can't go wrong with Mad Max' big-ass sawn-off double-barrel shotgun.

And while I'm talking about CP weaponry: The Enfield AS-7 from Shadowrun. An assault shotgun with a 50-shot-barrel is helluva awesome.
And if you use the "Burst Fire => Full-Auto"-accessorizing-option from the Cannon Compendium: Rock&Roll in every close quarter combat! Who cares about the +1-TN-penalty for this option when you can fire 10 clouds of lead with every attack? :haw:

When I write "TDE", I mean "The Dark Eye". Wanna know more? Way more?

I have to talk about a long forgotten fav. It was in the zebulons guide. The helmet mounted, jaw actuated, grenade launcher. So you could ride that hover bike and still cause directed, almost aimed, carnage.

Its a Rafflur not a grenade launcher, isnt it? Or is that another just another option?

I just checked. Your right. The helmet could mount a minigrenade launcher or twin rafflurs.
